Video from iPhone from passenger of Delta 4951 — “Heads Down!”

Video from passenger’s iPhone of emergency landing of Delta flight 4951 at John F. Kennedy International airport on Saturday night. The jet aircraft with a history of multiple take-offs and landings from Boston Logan Airport, has a history of safety issues.

The flight, en-route from Atlanta to White Plains, New York with more than 60 passengers onboard touched down at JFK after having apparent problems with its landing gear. The passenger’s video shows sparks flying from the wing tip of the aircraft as it scraped down the runway.

The latest incident Saturday is the fifth time in less than two years that an aircraft by the same manufacturer, Bombardier of Montreal, Canada, was forced to land without all of its landing gear.

The five planes of the CRJ series are made as short-hop commuters. No serious injuries have been reported from any of the incidents with the aircraft.
