Arlington Heights police received a report about 1:40 a.m. Friday of numerous subjects trying car handles in the 800 block of South Arthur at the Com Ed parking lot. Mount Prospect police also responded to the area, checking Com Ed and the east perimeter. Arlington Heights police checked the west side. No word on any police contact with the offenders.
