Edgar Morales Arrested After Attempted Burglary Reported on Briarwood

Mount Prospect police arrested Edgar C. Morales, 19, after an attempted burglary of a home in the 2900 block of Briarwood about 4:10 a.m. Tuesday in the 2900 block of Briarwood Drive West in Mount Prospect. Police were called after a resident saw an offender try to open a bedroom window at the house.

Mount Prospect police discovered Edgar Morales leaving the scene. A second offender fled on foot and was not caught. Morales’ court appearance is scheduled for August 19 at the Rolling Meadows Cook County Circuit Courthouse.

The Daily Herald is reporting the burglary occurred on Thursday about 4:00 a.m. — unknown if this is two attempts on the block this week or if Tuesday was the only offense (See The Cardinal Burglary on Briarwood Drive West ‘Just Occurred’ Report from 4AM).
