Martin Garcia Found Dead, Floating in Viaduct, West 21st Street Chicago

Chicago police responded to the 2500 block of West 21st Street at about 11:10 a.m. to the report of floating body in a viaduct after a passing driver found the man’s body floating in the water.

Martin Garcia was pronounced dead at 2:40 p.m. Saturday. Garcia’s body had evidence of head trauma. An autopsy Sunday to determine whether Martin Garcia, 46, drowned in the flooded Southwest Side viaduct on Saturday morning was inconclusive.

Chicago Police Department is conducting a death investigation.
