Multiple Severe Thunderstorms Warnings Issued Tuesday Morning

Multiple Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were issued Tuesday morning at 6:40 a.m., 7:01 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Multiple lines of storms are making travel difficult at rush hour.

The first storm and second storm warnings were associated with storms that were most severe in Lake County. The third storm line appears to be strong south of Arlington Heights in Cook County and DuPage County. Although more storms could develop, the radar is clearing for the Arlington Heights area after the Severe Thunderstorm Warning associated with the third round of storms ends at 8:15 a.m.

LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE
HAIL…AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THESE STORMS WERE
LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM WONDER LAKE TO MAPLE PARK TO
LELAND…MOVING EAST AT 60 MPH.
