An Arlington Heights police officer — part of a task force investigating prostitution ads on Craigslist — arrested two women Friday afternoon after they allegedly agreed to perform a sex act for $200. The police responded to an ad on Craigslist which led to a meeting with Neringa Golombeckyte at a Palatine hotel near Northwest Highway near Route 53 in Palatine.
Tiffany Denton, 20, of Timber Lane in Vernon Hills, was charged with felony pandering after she was discovered to be a person posting the Craigslist ads and vetting customers that responded to the ads. She was staying in a separate room in the hotel. Denton’s bond was set at $10,000 (10%, $1000) by a Cook County judge Saturday.
Neringa Golombeckyte, 21, of the 9900 block of 87th Ave. in Palos Hills, was charged with prostitution. Golombeckyte has a criminal history that includes underage drinking, criminal trespass. She was also wanted for an outstanding warrant for a DUI charge. Golombeckyte’s bond was set at $5,000 (10%, $500).
A Neringa Golmbeckyte, 21, was also arrested in the 1500 block of Marinette Avenue in the City of Marinette, Wisconsin on Thursday April 30, 2009 for charges of intent to deliver marijuana (THC) and maintaining a place for drug trafficking. She was discovered with an outstanding warrant for the Wisconsin charges as a passenger during a DUI traffic stop by Brookfield Police Department on July 8, 2009. The traffic stop in the 9200 block of Ogden Avenue in Brookfield resulted in a DUI charge and cannabis charge for the male driver, Jaroslaw J. Lach of Palos Hills. After smelling marijuana, police found a rolled up marijuana cigarette in an air conditioner vent of the vehicle. Golmbeckyte was extradited to the City of Marinette.
