UPDATE FOUND/Missing Maywood: Skylar Thompson, 13, Missing Since Aug. 21

UPDATE:
Skylar Thompson found unharmed in a Chicago apartment Thursday morning. Chicago police notified Maywood Police Department and both departments are investigating — including questioning the teen and the man who was found with her at the apartment.

Maywood police are searching for Skylar Thompson — a 13-year-old girl who was seen leaving a party near 3rd Avenue and Warren Avenue in Maywood with a man in his 20s on Friday night (August 21, 2009).

Skylar Thompson reportedly left home around 11 a.m. and was later seen leaving with a young man at a party in the evening , police said.

Skylar is from Carol Stream but spent the summer living with relatives in the 1400 block of South 20th Avenue in Maywood.

Skylar’s mother Sharon Thompson reported the girl missing to police early Saturday morning around 2 a.m. Skylar Thompson’s physical description is a female/black, 5 foot 9 and weighs 214 pounds. She wears her hair in a pony tail and has a birth mark near her mouth. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and white gym shoes.

Maywood Police Department is asking for anyone that has information regarding her disappearance to please call the Maywood Police Department at 708-450-4471.

  1. Email from local high school website for proviso east states that Skylar Thompson was home. I am wondering what is the hold up on the update.
