The Elk Grove American Legion Red Sox beat Arlington 17-7 in seven innings because of the 10-run rule at Recreation Park in Arlington Heights on Saturday afternoon.

Elk Grove won the Cook County Tournament, which brings the team to the American Legion State Championship at Recreation Park later this week. Palatine is hosting the tournament, so they are also still alive in the American Legion State Tournament for Illinois.
