Video: Boynton Beach Police Arrest Two Burglars After Owner Detects Home Burglars on Webcam

A hidden camera captured footage of two men breaking into a Boynton Beach home on April 8, 2009. The homeowner was watching via live internet feed at her job while seated at her office desk. Two strangers got into the home through a doggie door at the rear of the residence. Homeowner Jeanne Thomas, 43, called police, who surrounded the house and arrested the burgarly suspects.

Curtis Williams, 20, and Steven Morales, 19 were arrested at the Boynton Beach Home. Two other suspects — Scott George and Jonathan Cruz, both 20 — were captured at a nearby residence and charged with helping plan the burglary. The webcam surveillance video from inside the burglarized house was uploaded to YouTube by the Boynton Beach Police Department.

During the burglary in progress, the homeowner was able to describe to the 9-1-1 dispatcher the descriptions, locations and actions of the offenders. The dispatchers relayed the information to arriving police officers, who surrounded and entered the home and captured the suspects.

All four men were arrested.
