Lincolnwood police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:15 a.m. Monday to a vehicle vs. motorcycle crash at Devon Avenue and Kenton Avenue. No word on the severity of injuries.

Apparently the offenders that stole “Spur” the tortoise from a Lincolnwood pet store let him go. Police received several calls of a tortoise on the loose in Lincolnwood. A 70-pound Sulcata tortoise named “Spur” was stolen about 3:30 a.m. Saturday from The Animal Store, 4364 West Touhy Avenue, Lincolnwood. Video surveillance at the store, or in the neighborhood, so far is inconclusive. The tortoise is well-known in the community for its appearances at childrens’ birthday parties, fairs and block parties.
