Ten Males in Fight at Evergreen Apartments, Rolling Meadows: 1 Stabbed, 3 Beaten

Rolling Meadows police responded about 2:15 a.m. Monday to a report of a fight in progress at the Evergreen Apartments, 2341 Algonquin Parkway. While en route police received a report that the subjects fighting appeared to be male/Hispanics about 15-years-old. The first police officer on the scene reported a male youth lying conscious in the parking lot, and called for paramedic response. Police found a second male lying on the ground unconscious with head trauma, who appeared to have serious injuries. A stabbing victim with an apparent knife wound to the abdomen was found about 2:30 a.m. near an apartment building in the 2300 block of Algonquin Parkway. A fourth victim that was beaten was also found near the scene. Police were searching for a possible fifth victim, but no word on whether that victim was found.


Arlington Heights police and Schaumburg police assisted Rolling Meadows police in search efforts and with guarding the perimeter of the crime scene.

The stabbing victim was 23-years-old, and other battered victims ranged in age from 24 to 34.

Two victims were transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. Two victims were transported to Northwest Community Hospital.

Rolling Meadows Fire Department responded with two rescue-ambulances to the scene, and Arlington Heights Fire Department responded with two rescue-ambulances to the scene.
