The Chicago Cubs beat the Washington Nationals 3-0 on Friday night in Washington D.C. in Game 1 of the NL Division Series. Kyle Hendricks have up no runs, and only two hits in 7 innings.

Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo produced RBI singles in the sixth inning for the first two hits off Stephen Strasburg.

Rizzo hit an RBI double off reliever Ryan Madson in the 8th inning.

Wade Davis got the save after Carl Edwards Jr. pitched a perfect inning.

Game 2 in the best-of-five post-season series is Saturday October 7, 2017 with Jon Lester scheduled to start for the Chicago Cubs, and left-hander Gio Gonzalez for the Washington Nationals.
