Lake County Sheriff’s deputies responded Wednesday September 6, 2017 night to a domestic dispute at the home in the block of 100 Inverrary Lane, near Deerfield and just east of Buffalo Grove, and just north of the Chevy Chase Country Club in Wheeling.

According to police, when speaking to officers, a man claimed to be a law enforcement officer, and also claimed to be a Purple Heart recipient. An investigation determined that both claims were false, police said.

The man was charged Wednesday with felony false personation of a peace officer, appeared in court on Thursday September 7, 2017, and was released on a $25,000 bond.
