Dramatic rescue of infant from overturned pickup truck in rapid floodwaters in Texas.

Video captured on a cell phone by local resident Tom Mitchell in Myrtle Springs, Texas, and provided to ABC affiliate WFAA, shows a group of people rescuing passengers of an overturned Chevy Silverado pickup truck. A group of people helped the people get out while fighting the current of rapid water. One manned used a tire lug wrench to pry open a vehicle door. They continued to struggle to open the vehicle’s doors and rescue the people inside — father, a toddler, and an infant were trapped in the car, and all were rescued.

The infant was initially unresponsive. Tom Mitchell put down his cell phone to start CPR on the baby. Someone else resumed the video, which is shown below. The infant’s family says the infant is recovering.
