Schaumburg police investigators suspect that Schaumburg resident Tiffany Thrasher’s killer entered her apartment through an unlocked ground floor window, according to a police update of the investigation.
Police also indicated that Tiffany Thrasher may have been sexually assaulted based on early examination of evidence. Confirmation of sexual assault depends on pending crime lab results, according to Schaumburg police.
Thrasher’s body was discovered Sunday in her apartment on Clipper Drive by police officers responding to a check for well-being call. Police say she was strangled sometime between 8 p.m. Saturday and 11:45 a.m. Sunday.
