Traffic Stop Turns Into Foot Pursuit and Arrest at Rand Rd and Dryden Ave, Arlington Heights

#ad▼

Arlington Heights police responded about 12:40 PM Friday to a foot pursuit after a traffic stop at Rand Road and Dryden Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police were apparently on a traffic stop when the driver of a gray Honda Civic ran from the vehicle.

A witness saw a foot pursuit, and said it appeared the driver of the Honda may have possessed drugs or marijuana.

The police were examining something that the person had in possession before the young adult male was transported to Arlington Heights Police Department headquarters. The witness said the incident seemed to start out as a traffic stop, but the driver ran across Rand Road from a strip mall parking lot south of Rand Road and west of Dryden Avenue. Police caught the man about a block away near Route 12 Rental.

Police towed the driver’s gray Honda Civic to a police holding area.
