Wheeling police responded about 9:47 AM Saturday to a report of debris and garbage in the roadway at Lake Cook Road and Milwaukee Avenue Wheeling, IL. Police on scene reported debris with nails and screws all over the roadway on the westbound lanes of Lake Cook Road just east of the bridge over Milwaukee Avenue.
Police were working initially to clean up the debris, but other crews may be needed to thoroughly clear the roadway of nails and screws, and other construction debris.
