Mexico’s Colima Volcano Erupts on September 25, 2016

Mexico’s Colima volcano increased its activity on Friday, forcing the evacuation of several nearby communities.

The Volcán de Colima, also known as Volcán de Fuego, has a highest elevation of 12,533 feet with a prominence of 2,000 feet. The most recent volcanic eruption of Volcán de Colima occurred on Sunday, September 25, 2016, sending a plume of ash and smoke 10,000 ft into the sky.
