Motorcycle Crash with Serious Injuries at Rand Rd and Winslowe Dr, Palatine Near Walmart

VIDEO: Accident investigators worked at a car vs motorcycle crash in the northbound lanes of Rand Road and Winslowe Drive, closing the northbound lanes of Rand Road most of the afternoon.

UPDATE: A motorcyclist from Arlington Heights was killed Sunday just before 1:15 p.m. in a crash with a car on Rand Road near the entrance to the Palatine Walmart. Corey Hindes, age 54, was rushed by paramedics with Advanced Life Support to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:06 p.m.

Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 1:14 PM Sunday to a report of a serious crash with injuries at Rand Road and Winslowe Drive Palatine, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a motorcycle crash occurred with serious injuries with one person unconscious.

Second ambulance requested for extra medics by 1:17 p.m.

Ambulance 82’s crew transported one patient to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge with four paramedics on board.

Northbound lanes of Rand Road closed for an extended accident investigation. Northbound Rand Road was backed up just short of Route 53 by 2:00 p.m.

Initially it appeared that an eastbound black Mercedes Benz sedan turned left in front of a westbound motorcycle. The car had damage at the right, rear fender by the wheel.
