Aol Down Thursday Afternoon Across the United States for About 25 Minutes

Aol was down Thursday afternoon starting about 1:40 p.m. CDT. Users reported outages in Austin, Baltimore, Boise, Boston, Buffalo, Chicago, dayton, Monterey, New York City, San Jose and several other locations.

Almost 5,000 people reported an outage on downdector.com in the twenty minutes that Aol was down.

Aol users received the message “Http/1.1 Service Unavailable” when trying to access email or the Aol news website. The message is common when a site is down for maintenance.
