ATF Investigating 1:17 AM Explosion at Home on Chapel Hill Lane, Northfield

ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) agents are investigating an explosion Wednesday at a home in the 400 block of Chapel Hill Lane in Northfield. Police and firefighters responded about 1:17 a.m. Wednesday to the home near Northfield Community Church. The 9-1-1 call reported an explosion and smoke in the house, but no fire in the house.

No active fire was visible when police and firefighters arrived, but damage to windows and other exterior damage was visible

Officials have stated they believe the explosion is an isolated incident.
