Minnesota Woman Arrested at O’Hare Carrying Suspected Opium and Methamphetamine Tablets

A Minnesota woman, Khoua Vang, 49, was arrested early Saturday at O’Hare International Airport after authorities found her carrying suspected opium and methamphetamine tablets.

Vang is alleged to have been carrying 17 kilograms of suspected opium and more than 3500 tablets of methamphetamine, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office. Police did not specify whether she was carrying unprocessed raw material opium or an opiate form.

Vang was charged with delivery, trafficking and possession of methamphetamines, trafficking a controlled substance and two counts of manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance.

Khoua Vang, 49, appeared in Cook County bond court on Sunday, where a judge set her bail at $100,000, She is scheduled to return to court on May 13.
