Facebook Unveils New Live Streaming Option: “Facebook Live”

#ad▼

Facebook’s newest feature allows users to “go live” from the Facebook app. Users can live stream activities that will appear in real-time on friends’ feeds. Facebook Chief Product Officer Chris Cox joins CBSN to describe the new feature.

Also, look for a video button that allows users to explore people who are going LIVE worldwide.

The first usage of the phrase “Facebook Live” was announced in 2010, but it initially consisted featured videos from Facebook staff, and was not intended as a platform for Facebook users to showcase their own videos.

The new usage of “Facebook Live” is intended for Facebook users to stream their own live videos.
