Woman Shot Just South of US Cellular Field on 38th Place Near Princeton Ave, Chicago

Chicago police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:45 PM Friday to a report of a woman shot in a car near 238 West 38th Place Chicago, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that the woman was sitting in the back seat of a car when she was shot.

The 30-year-old victim was sitting in the back seat of a car just northeast of 38th Street and Princeton Avenue when an unknown offender shot the woman in the back.

Chicago Fire Department paramedics transported their patient to Stroger Hospital, where the gunshot victim was pronounced dead.

Chicago police said the car belongs to a driver who operates a neighborhood car service. The driver, who was not hurt, did not know the victim.

The crime scene is about 500 feet south of US Cellular Field.
