Spencer Stone, the U.S. Air Force airman who was injured when he and two childhood friends tackled a heavily armed gunman on a Paris-bound train, returned to his native California Thursday night

Spencer Stone was one of several men who stopped a terrorist attack on August 21, 2015 in France. Stone’s left hand and thumb were severely cut during the attack. he arrived at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California on Thursday, September 3, 2015.

France train hero Spencer Stone touched down at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, where was welcomed back by a huge crowd of his fellow airmen.

US airman Spencer Stone says was napping just before springing into action and tackling a gunman on a train in France.

Spencer Stone, one of the men who foiled a terror attack aboard a train in Europe, left a hospital after being treated for knife wounds sustained while subduing the attacker.
