The same week Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics were rescuing two people in separate incidents at an apartment complex on Dryden Place near Kensington Road, a 17-year-old girl from Arlington Heights was found dead in Libertyville.

Police Lt. Bill Kinast reported that first responders were dispatched about 7:00 a.m. Sunday, July 26, 2015 to a home in the 1500 block of West Park Avenue. The 17-year-old Arlington Heights resident was already dead.

Police say she died of an apparent overdose early Sunday morning. An investigation is underway by Libertyville police to determine what led to the girl’s death. A toxicology report is being done to further analyze what drug was involved, he said.

Police and firefighter/paramedics in Arlington Heights responded to Dryden Place Apartments on Tuesday July 21, 2015 and used to Narcan successfully as an antidote to a near fatal heroin overdose involving a 19-year-old female.

Next on Sunday night July 26, 2015, police and firefighters/paramedics responded where friends and/or family had already used a legal antidote of Narcan on a young adult male to successfully reverse an apparent heroin overdose at Dryden Place Apartments.

Both victims from Dryden Place Apartments were transported with regained consciousness and breathing on their own to Northwest Community Hospital.
