Rosemont police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:55 p.m. Friday to a report of a disturbance and then shots fired and a gunshot victim in the area of the 10451 Carol Court and 10451 Betty Court. The neighborhood is just northwest of the Allstate Arena, and just west of Target in Rosemont. Paramedics responded to the area about 9:10 p.m. to a police on scene report of an unresponsive gunshot victim with trauma to the face.

Police and firefighter/paramedics discovered the mortally-wounded 14-year-old outside and requested firefighter/paramedics respond to the scene.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s family confirmed the gunshot victim’s identity as 14-year-old Patrick Boswell, age 14. Boswell was an eighth grader at Iroquois Community School in Des Plaines.
