Palatinend firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:17 PM Monday to a report of smoke in an apartment at 10 Dundee Quarter Drive Palatine, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that there was a smoke odor coming from an apartment and that it was believed that nobody was home at the apartment.

Firefighters were inside the apartment within seven minutes and reported smoke possibly associated with cooking. Firefighters extinguished the fire on a stovetop — possibly with a pump can.

Firefighters immediately ventilated the apartment and reported no extension to any other apartment units.
