Des Plaines police responded about 10:10 PM Tuesday to an armed robbery at Central Road and Wolf Road Des Plaines , IL. Police received a report of an armed robbery committed by a man who displayed a handgun.
The offender was described as a male/black subject, 5’8″ thin build, wearing a black-and-white bandana, a 3/4-length coat, black pants and a backpack.
The offender displayed a red-handled black handgun during the robbery.
The armed robber was last seen heading eastbound on foot from the area of Central Road and Wolf Road.
The crime is reported to have occurred about 10:00 p.m. (estimated).
Developing … it is unknown at this time if the crime occurred on the street or at a business. A as station and two strip malls are located at the intersection. Businesses open at the time of the crime and in the area include Illusion Bar and Grill and Cafe, Mug’s Pizza, and a Mobil gas station.
