Missing 11-Year-Old Girl in Arlington Heights; Police Search Underway

A search for a missing 11-year-old is underway in Arlington Heights. Neighbors in the Stonegate neighborhood reported seeing police searching the neighborhood with a K-9 unit from the area of Northwest Highway.

Joliet Police Department was in the area of Northwest Highway and Dryden with a Bloodhound — likely “Amber” — the one Bloodhound K-9 unit of four K-9 units from Joliet Police Department. Other K-9 units are also likely on the case.

Extra police officers from Arlington Heights have been called in to work on the search and investigation of the case.

The girl was reported missing at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday. Arlington Heights Police Department is expected to release a statement with more details soon.
