Police Officer Suspended Indefinitely After Aiming Rifle at Protesters and Threatening to Kill a Protestor

Contains graphic video. A police officer who was part of the effort to keep peace during protests in Ferguson has been suspended for pointing a semi-automatic assault rifle at demonstrators, then cursing and threatening to kill one of them.

A St. Ann police officer, who pointed a semi-automatic assault rifle at a Ferguson, Missouri, protester and threatened to kill him, has been suspended indefinitely. At least two videos of the exchange were captured by the victim, who was the subject of the the threat, and a Fox News teams

In the exchange, an unidentified police officer can be seen walking around with his assault rifle raised and aimed at protestors.

“I’m going to f-–king kill you,” the police officer says. “Get back. Get back.” When the victim of the threat asks the officer his name, the officer replies, “Go f–k yourself.” The crowd, saying, “OK, officer ‘go f–k yourself'” mocking the officer as he is subdued by another police officer.

Mutual aid members of law enforcement forces responding to Ferguson have come from many communities, including St. Ann, which is just west of Ferguson.

Don Lemon, CNN anchor, explains the incident in Ferguson.

The incident is reported to have happened shortly before midnight Tuesday. The commander in charge of operations in Ferguson, Capt. Ron Johnson said the officer has nothing to do with the Ferguson riot operations anymore.
