House Fire on South Plum Grove Rd South of Palatine Rd, Palatine

Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:12 AM Tuesday to a house fire at 132 S Plum Grove Rd Palatine, IL. A police officer on patrol discovered the house fire just south of the Jewel-Osco in Palatine.

Fire and smoke was showing from the northwest corner at the rear of the house. Firefighters determined the house was vacant but completely searched the home while fighting the fire.

Firefighters discovered the fire was in the basement, and had burned through the first floor. The fire was knocked by about 4:26 a.m. and extinguished with loss stopped by about 4:40 a.m.

No injuries reported. Lake Zurich and Rolling Meadows firefighters assisted Palatine firefighters.
