FBI, SEC look into investments made by golf champion Phil Mickelson around the time Carl Icahn launched takeover bid for Clorox.

The Wall Street Journal broke news of the investigation on Friday evening and several other news outlets have confirmed the existence of the insider trading investigation. The probe is focussing on trading that took place in 2011 involving Clorox CLX, a company that Carl Icahn tried and failed to take over at the time.

Trader Carl Icahn, professional golfer Phil Mickelson, and sports better William Walter deny any connection to an investigation or any allegations.
