Palatine Park District presents Big Trucks at the Family Aquatic Center parking lot on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 10:00am to 1:00pm
The free event is located at 340 East Palatine Road. Parking will be available in the Community Center Parking Lot located at 250 East Wood Street, Palatine.
The family event allows children of all ages the opportunity to see big trucks and vehicles, including fire engines, of course. Kids will be able to sit in the driver’s seat in some of the trucks.
This year’s event will also include goody bags for the first 500 children, free entry into the prize raffle, a craft provided by Lakeshore Learning, and the opportunity to buy breakfast, lunch or snack from food trucks from Toasty Cheese Mobile Eatery and Flirty Cupcakes on Wheels.
Trucks scheduled to be at the event include vehicles from A-Express Towing, Community Consolidated School District 15, Groot Recycling, Jewel-Osco, MBL Recycling, Palatine Emergency Management Agency, Palatine Fire Department, Palatine Park District, Palatine Police Department, Palatine Township, Prairie Material, Rogner’s Garage, SERVPRO, Village of Palatine Public Works Department, and Wheeling Transportation.
The Palatine Park District partners with many local organizations and companies to present this free event for the Palatine community. Big Trucks gold partners for 2014 include: AuPairCare, CristalMe Rhinestone Apparel Inc., Daily Herald Media Group, Loving Care Animal Hospital, Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament, and Premier Credit Union.
