House Fire on Maple Lane Extinguished Quickly by Firefighters, Elk Grove Village

Elk Grove Village police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:07 PM Saturday to a house fire 1015 Maple Lane Elk Grove Village, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that of smoke coming from the roof of a garage. First firefighthers on the scene reported light smoke coming from the right side and right front corner of the garage.

A fire was discovered in a bedroom converted from garage space. The fire was extinguished in about 15 minutes.

No injuries reported at this time.

Firefighters from Des Plaines, Itasca and Wood Dale assisted Elk Grove Village firefighters.

Arlington Heights Fire Department also sent a rescue ambulance to provide coverage for Elk Grove Village while firefighters were busy at the scene.
