Illinois State police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:05 PM Monday to Northbound Route 53 and Dundee Rd near Palatine and Arlington Heights. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a vehicle was on fire about one-quarter mile south of Dundee Road.
Palatine firefighters on Engine 83 reported they are out with a Chevy Trailblazer on fire on Route 53, just south of Dundee Road.
A crash occurred nearby while crews were picking up after the SUV fire. Firefighter/paramedics were checking for injuries.
