Oak Brook police responded about 3:15 PM Saturday to a report of vehicular hijacking on northbound I-294 at I-88 near Oak Brook, IL. Police received a report that a male offender was involved in a vehicular hijacking with multiple conflicting reports of the direction the subject fled.
Reports of direction of travel included northbound I-294, southbound I-294 and southbound Route 83 from the area of Interstate 88. The latest report clarified the direction of travel as southbound Route 83 from Interstate 88.
The vehicle taken was a light blue Honda Accord in the northbound lanes of I-294.
The offender is described as a male/white, age 40, 6’0″ 200 LBS wearing a white hoodie and blue jeans. The subject should be considered dangerous.
The crime is reported to have occurred about 3:15 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2013.
