Arlington Heights Weather Forecast: Less Than One Inch of Snow This Morning, Windy Today, Warming Trend Rest of Week

Chicagoland weather radar [LIVE RADAR] shows thin line of snow precipitation from West Bend to Madison to Dubuque moving from northwest to southeast toward Chicagoland at about 5:30 a.m.

Today’s outlook from NBC Storm Team 5.

Satellite images show the thickest cloud cover over northern Iowa and southern Wisconsin at about 5:00 a.m.

About 0.6 inch of snow is expected between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Some additional snow flurries are forecast from about 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Clouds are expected to decrease starting about noon and continued clearing is expected until midnight. The snow is expected to be dry as in most of the recent snowfalls.

Gusty winds from the northwest 20-34 MPH are expected to start about 9:00 a.m. and continue until 5:00 p.m.

Warming trend through the rest of the week with Thursday looking like the best day.

Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
