Republican Rep. Michael Burgess asks hearing witnesses if they had any luck logging onto HealthCare.gov

Rep. Michael Burgess (R) Texas questions Cheryl Campbell, Snior VP at CGI Federal, and Andrew Slavitt, Group Executive VP at Optum/QSSI. Campbell said she could sign on from Virginia. Slavitt said his signup failed because he didn’t get a confirmation.

Obamacare a “bad product” … After asking developers if they did their jobs, Rep. Steve Scalise highlights issues with the HealthCare.gov website.

Rep. Steve Scalise (R) Louisiana explains that Healthcare.gov cost $500 million, which is more than Facebook cost to build for the first five years — and FaceBook has 7 million users per day. Contractors basically claim they built the bad product that they were asked to build.

Republican John Shimkus presses Obamacare hearing witnesses for those involved with testing before the website’s launch and learns that interface testing was performed only two weeks before the rollout.
