Residential Burglary on Oakwood Drive Near Lake Arlington, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 8:15 PM Sunday of a residential burglary just south of Lake Arlington in the block of 1900 Oakwood Drive Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders burglarized a home in which the residents discovered the burglary when they came home from vacation.

Offenders apparently pried open a living room window at the back of the house. It appears offenders left through a sliding glass door.

Owners reported silver flatware missing, valued at $2000.

Offender(s) appeared to have gone through several rooms, but nothing appeared to be taken from most of the rooms. Offenders ransacked a wooden box in a closet, but nothing was reported missing from the box.

A gold wedding band valued at $500 was taken from a jewelry box, but costume jewelry was not taken.

The crime is reported to have occurred between Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 6:30 a.m. and Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 8:14 p.m.
