Residential Burglary at Apartment Unit on Shady Way, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 9:37 AM Monday of a residential burglary in the block of 900 Shady Way Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders burglarized a one-story apartment unit.

A resident noticed a silver porcelain bowl (valued at $40) was missing on September 29, 2013. On Sunday, October 6, 2013 the resident noticed the night stand was damaged and jewelry was missing. A gold ring (valued at $750), a large gold ring (valued at $500) and several items of gold jewelry of unknown value were also missing.

A wooden jewelry box was also discovered missing from the safe. It is unknown if the safe was locked.

The crime is reported to have occurred between Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. and Sunday October 6, 2013 at 3:00 p.m.
