Chicago area weather radar facilities [LIVE RADAR] show rain across most of northern Illinois. The Romeoville radar is down. Satellite images show cloudy conditions over the north half of Illinois, all of Iowa, all of Wisconsin, northern Indiana, and all of Michigan.

No severe thunderstorms are expected, but some embedded thunder is possible, and people outdoors should be alert for lightning risks. Rain is expected to taper off about 6:00 p.m., but light precipitation could linger through Monday morning. Clearing is expected after noon tomorrow. Rain began this morning about 6:45 a.m. in Arlington Heights. A total of about 0.7 inch of rain is expected today.

A Low Pressure system is located over Iowa, and a warm front lies parallel close to the Mississippi River.

Winds will shift to the east and northeast after 3:00 p.m. and northeast after 6:00 p.m.
