Surveillance Images Released from Diamond Theft at Precious Fine Jewelry Store, Show Place Dr, Naperville

The Naperville Police Department is attempting to identify three subjects who stole numerous loose diamonds from the Precious Fine Jewelry store located on Show Place Drive in Naperville. The subjects distracted the employee and were able to leave the store with the stones. The theft occurred on Monday, August 26, 2013 at around 12:00 PM. One of the subjects was a Hispanic male, 20-25 years of age, around 5 feet tall and about 150 pounds. The other two offenders were Hispanic females, 20-25 years of age — both slightly taller than the male subject and around 130 pounds.

If anyone witnessed this incident or has any information about it or the suspect involved, they are asked to call CRIME STOPPERS AT 630-420-6006. Information is important to Crime Stoppers and all callers may remain anonymous. A reward of up to $1,000.00 is being offered for the information that leads to an arrest in this incident.

Naperville police report that NAPERVILLE CRIME STOPPERS are offering up to a $1,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest of person(s) responsible for the theft of loose diamonds at te jewelry store near the AMC Showplace Naperville 16.

The Naperville public safety media message was released nine days after the crime occurred, which coincides with nine days for the case to go cold. The information was also posted nine days after the crime on Naperville’s official Facebook page.

Naperville Police use a proprietary police radio communication system that can not be monitored by neighborhood watch groups or concerned citizens using police scanners or police scanner apps on smart phones.

The Naperville police do NOT have an official police radio feed for public police dispatch functioning to keep the public informed of major crimes, disasters/public safety emergencies, public disturbances or traffic congestion.

No real-time release notified the public of the diamond theft. Naperville police have a Twitter account that has NOT been updated since August 28, 2012.
