East Haven, Connecticut police and firefighters responded about 11:20 a.m. Friday to a plane crash at 64 and 68 Charter Oak Avenue, East Haven.

Two bodies have been spotted in a basement in one of two homes that were hit by an aircraft that was on approach to Tweed-New Haven Regional Airport in East Haven. Also, at least three people, including two children, are reported missing. Initially firefighters were unable to rescue or recover the victims in the house.

The aircraft is believed to be a Turbo Commander 690B that had departed from Teterboro, New Jersey. KOMO-TV, Seattle is reporting that a former Microsoft executive, Bill Henningsgaard and his son were on the airplane that crashed.
