Social media giants like Facebook and Twitter are taking new steps to fight back against internet trolls.

After reports of bullying and even suicides resulting from bullying, Facebook and Twitter both have buttons that allow people to report abuse. The anonymity of social media is its strength and its weakness, so Facebook and Twitter are working carefully on how to manage mistreatment of people and abuse.

A blog known as PUBLIC SHAMING (publicshaming.tumblr.com) is managed by author Matt Binder who takes screen shots of tweets that he judges to be “hypocritical, dumb, etc.” and posts the screen shots on his blog.
