Lockdown at University of Texas –Arlington Over After Armed Robbery Threat

A criminal threat was reported about 12:39 p.m on 600 Doug Russell Road and east side of the campus of the University of Texas at Arlington. An armed robbery subject described as a black male wearing all black and a red bandana was seen carrying a handgun. Residents were advised to “please stay away from the area. Take cover immediately. Remain in place.”

By 12:43 p.m. The UT Arlington Police Department reported that the threat has passed. The campus has reopened and normal operations are resuming. Employees should report to campus as soon as possible.
