Police, firefighters and paramedics from Hoffman Estates responded about 3:03 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2026 to a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a Toyota minivan at Golf Road and Kingsdale Road in Hoffman Estates.
The driver of the motorcycle, Henry Pineda-Rodriguez, 20, of Rolling Meadows, was transported to St. Alexius Medical Center and was pronounced deceased at 3:40 p.m. Sunday. A passenger, age 21, of Hoffman Estates, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
Preliminary reports indicate the driver of the minivan was turning from southbound Kingdale Road onto westbound Golf Road when it collided with the westbound motorcycle.
The driver of the minivan was not injured and remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators. The Hoffman Estates Police Department did not provide any other information about the driver.
The crash investigation continues after an on-scene investigation and evidence collection.
