At the Rolling Meadows City Council meeting, Fire Chief Peter Sutter of the Rolling Meadows Fire Department and Police Chief Anthony Peluso of the Rolling Meadows Police Department had the honor of presenting Ethan Mollenhauer with the City of Rolling Meadows Lifesaving Award.
Recently, Ethan Mollenhauer, who is 13 years old, was faced with the unthinkable when his father, Rolling Meadows Police Commander Sam Mollenhauer, suffered a medical emergency with cardiac arrest at home. Ethan immediately called 911 and performed CPR on his father until paramedics arrived.
Ethan had just received CPR training in school the week prior to his father’s medical emergency.
Because of Ethan’s extraordinary courage, composure and unwavering determination, he saved his father’s life.
