Turning warmer and windy Tuesday afternoon with scattered showers this afternoon, with an isolated strong storm possible early Tuesday evening.

Cooler and breezy conditions are expected on Wednesday before a longer-lasting warm up arrives to close the week.

The May 16 through 19 timeframe may feature several rounds of showers and storms in the general region.

Regional radar imagery depicts a southwest to northeast oriented band of showers and embedded thunderstorms extending from central Iowa into southern Wisconsin, and gradually sinking south into northern Illinois.
