Major Road Closure on Algonquin Rd Between Brinker Rd/Dundee Rd and Bateman Rd for Rollover Dump Truck Crash

Police from Barrington Hills, and firefighters and paramedics from Barrington-Countryside Fire Protection District responded about 11:15 a.m. Thursday, March 26, 2026 to a report of a rollover truck crash with injuries on Algonquin Road near Old Sutton Road in Barrington Hills. A rollover semi-trailer dump truck was involved in a crash with at least one other vehicle on Algonquin Road just east of Old Sutton Road. The load spilled from the dump truck.

There is a major road closure on Algonquin Road between Bateman Road and Brinker Road/Dundee Road. Eastbound Algonquin Road was closed at Bateman Road all the way to Brinker Road/Dundee Road. Westbound Algonquin Road was closed from Brinker Road/Dundee Road to around Bateman Road, but there might be some westbound traffic allowed on Algonquin Road west of Old Sutton Road.




According to the Village of Barrington Hills, An accident has occurred at the intersection of Algonquin Road (IL 62) and Old Sutton, closing travel in both directions from Brinker to Bateman Roads.

Algonquin Road will remain closed until further notice, according to the Village of Barrington Hills.
